Southwest Salt’s crystals are extracted from a naturally occurring underground salt sea. The water from this underground sea is pumped into solar evaporation ponds where pure salt is produced by the sun. It is harvested, washed, kiln dried, screened, compacted and bagged at our state-of-the-art facility located at Loving, NM.
